Alvin Toh

As Chief Marketing Officer and Head of International Operations of Straits Interactive, Alvin drives marketing strategy, awareness and partner relationships for the company’s innovative privacy solutions that build upon the foundation of responsible marketing.

Using his extensive sales and marketing experience, Alvin was involved in helping SMEs in their marketing and digital marketing activities prior to co-founding Straits Interactive. In addition, he is a sought-after regional speaker on data protection and privacy management as well as a trainer in data protection and digital marketing.

He holds an Executive MBA, International Business Administration, from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey-New Brunswick and internationally recognised professional qualifications from the International Association of Privacy Professionals, Open Compliance Ethics Group and EXIN.  His credentials from these examining bodies include the Certified Information Privacy Manager and Technologist (CIPM and CIPT), the Certified Information Privacy Professional /Asia (CIPP /A) and the GRC Processional (GRCP) Certification. Locally, Alvin received the Advanced Diploma in Data Protection (SMU).

 

Sunny Lim Chee Choong 
MBA, UK

Sunny Lim Chee Choong is a Certified Professional Trainer and seasoned sales and marketing leader with over 20 years of experience across the telecommunications, IT, and consumer electronics industries. He holds an MBA from Heriot-Watt University and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.

Most recently, Sunny has strengthened his future-ready expertise through data protection qualifications with Straits Interactive and an Advanced Certificate from Singapore Management University specialising in Generative AI applications for Marketing, Human Resources, and Prompt Engineering. These credentials position him to help organisations adopt AI responsibly while maintaining strong data governance practices.

Sunny’s corporate track record includes senior roles at Microsoft, Maxis, U Mobile, and Samsung Malaysia Electronics, where he drove major telco partnerships and delivered annual revenues exceeding USD110 million. He also successfully founded and scaled a distribution startup serving 1,000 retail outlets nationwide.

To date, Sunny has trained more than 8,000 professionals across organisations including Nokia and Lenovo. His programmes focus on practical execution in sales excellence, adaptive marketing, AI adoption, and data protection—helping leaders and teams translate strategy into measurable business results.

ASSESSMENTS

There will be an assessment conducted at the end of the course. The mode of assessment, which is up to the trainer’s discretion, may be an online quiz, a presentation or based on classroom exercises.

Participants are required to attain a minimum of 75% attendance and pass the associated assessment in order to receive a digital Certificate of Completion issued by Data Protection Excellence DPEX) Network.

Note:
For organisations intending to claim under HRD Corp, please note the following requirements:

  • Each participant must be a Malaysian citizen.
  • Each participant must fulfil a minimum attendance of 75% for the entire workshop (i.e. must have a minimum of 1.5 days) to be able to claim under HRD Corp funding.
    *If the participant does not meet the minimum requirement, HRDCorp will not process the claim and the organisation will then have to pay to Straits Interactive the full training fees of RM 3,500 for each participant.

If no seats are available for the applied date, you will be notified immediately and given an alternative date. Straits Interactive reserves the right to change the course schedules, programmes and content without prior notice. We also reserve the right to cancel courses due to unforeseen circumstances.


CANCELLATION

Requests for withdrawal or postponement must be made in writing to Straits Interactive. Refunds arising from course withdrawal/deferment will be subjected to the following terms:

More than 2 weeks before course commencement: Full refund.
Less than 2 weeks before course commencement: 50% refund.
On or after course commencement: No refund
