This course has given us the knowledge and understanding to a structured and systematic way in planning and setting our objectives to reliably achieve our goals. Very good and comprehensive hands-on software that enables a clear interpretation of the risks and controls that gives the management a bird’s eye view of the status. It is like a blueprint of success for the management of the company and it is such a vivid picture.

This course makes you look at management in a holistic way which is different from the conventional way of management.

I have taken 3 courses with SMU and trainers from Straits Interactive, so far, it has been very knowledgeable and engaging. I have been able to link the theory with practical and this gave me better understanding the right framework to put in practice when I return back to my organisation.

Coming from the compliance angle, the key takeaway is:- Those managing GRC in a company has to be taken as a business partner and an enabler in the business and not a barrier. None of us are not in silo, this GRC course (especially Principled Performance) ties all the departments together to reliably meet company’s objectives whilst addressing uncertainties and acting with integrity.

Participant at Course
Jan 2021

Previously, objectives were set and it was all over the place, now after taking this course, I have a good understanding and can help guide and perform planning of a more structured approach with Principled Performance to a successful outcome of an objective.

Participant at Course
Feb 2021

This course has helped me understand and practise GRC in everything, this is a structured approach to Principled Performance, addressing opportunities and threats whilst achieving our rewards and goals

Participant at Course
Feb 2021

Linking all the dots for the Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats and Requirements and come up with an Integrated Plan to meet the company’s objective, this is the success factor in achieving the objective ultimately.

Participant at Course
Feb 2021

Understanding GRC, this gives us an overview of the real issues within an organisation and with the help of the Gracias system, we are more engaged with the reality of issues.

Participant at Course
Feb 2021

The SWOT Analysis that we have learnt and entered into the Gracias System gives a birds eye view of the ground staff’s pulse or sentiments and this is even better than a survey. Hence, we can prioritise to look into the most problematic areas or departments for any organisation.

Participant at Course
Feb 2021

The GRC Methodology, which I have learnt from this course, is very good, solid and powerful. We could see clearly and conceptualised total company’s efforts, right to the extent of prioritising our efforts to manage the highest risks and opportunities first.

Participant at Course
Feb 2021

We should view GRC management as an enabler rather than a showstopper in any organisation.

Participant at Course
Feb 2021

Learning the SMART objective helps us to write our objectives realistically, measurable and achievable for the company.

Participant at Course
Feb 2021

When learning to write a SMART objective, we can see clearly and set the direction for the company with being Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Time bound.

Participant at Course
Feb 2021

A very interactive software called Gracia System that we have been using together with the theory, we can now have a macro-view of the organisation’s risks and opportunities. We can assess the risks and opportunities in detail and prioritise our action plans specifically and easily

Participant at Course
Apr 2021

Fun and good role play exercise using the software Gracia System, gave us a broader perspective to drill down into problem areas and the issues became more apparent

Participant at Course
Apr 2021

Even though we have learnt a lot on SWOT analysis in school and heard about this at work too, which is an aspect of GRC but do not know how to put this together. After this course, I am looking forward to apply the principles of GRC at work, with a proper framework and understanding how it works

Participant at Course
Apr 2021

This is a good course which covers comprehensive and practical work-life scenarios

Participant at Course

The good hands-on exercise that we had together with the theory lessons, gave us a good understanding on what and how we need to work together across all departments in an organisation and no department is being siloed

Participant at Course
Apr 2021

Using the software in this course, helped to put up a structured and clear status of the company in order to identify and prioritise immediately what needs to be handled and prioritised concerns

Participant at Course
Aug 2021

This is a very beneficial course, using the software which is a very good dashboard to crystallise what we have learnt in the course and most importantly manage any issues in a company easily

Participant at Course
Aug 2021

The role play activity during the course brought out the identification of the potential risks faced by companies for real life scenarios. The software that we used during the course, captures and defines the potential risks correctly. The SWOT analysis from the software can even help the HR Dept to survey and hear from the ground up

Participant at Course
