The Data Protection Study Programme (DPSP) is a bond-free, highly subsidised initiative, worth S$4,999, fully funded by Straits Interactive to introduce undergraduates and graduating students to foundational skills in personal data protection, and at the same time equip you with Data Protection tools expertise with hands-on activities.

Who Should Apply?

• Singapore Citizens between 17-25 years old.

• Currently studying in one of the public funded Institute of Higher Learnings (IHLs) –
  polytechnic and universities, in Singapore.

• Good character & outstanding leadership qualities.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Students who wish to embark on a career in any of the following sectors upon
  graduation: Education, Engineering, Financial Services, Human Resource, Healthcare,
  Hospitality, Infocomm and Information Technology, Legal, Logistics, Real Estate,
  Research, Public Services, Sales & Marketing, and Telecommunications.

• Due to overwhelming response, only shortlisted candidates will be informed.

Programme Details

• Attend a fully-funded 3-Day Hands-on Data Protection Officer Course.

• Relevant tools and templates relating to data protection by design.

• Roadmap to professional certification which is internationally recognised.

• Option to join Data Protection Network for regular advisory and updates on
  developments in Data Protection and Governance.

Successful Candidates

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to register for our 3-days course, and successfully registered candidates and will be required to:

• Complete a funding detail form provided.

• Attend the 3-day Data Protection Hands-on (DPOS) training. (Compulsory) 

(See next course dates in Application Form.)

• Provide a Deposit of S$2,000 (Guarantor cheque) that will be cleared for payment as
  part of funding requirements. The deposit payment can be submitted for claim after
  the completion of the DPOS course, with guidance provided by the Course Provider.
  The disbursement of S$2,000 will be credited into your bank account upon approval by
  the relevant government body.

A Certificate of Proficiency in Data Protection and Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) will be jointly awarded by Straits Interactive and OCEG upon successful completion of competency assessment and class assignments.

Roadmap towards further international certifications (Government funding will be provided), no bond involved.

Note:
