HANOI, Vietnam, Nov. 4, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Vietnam's Government Cipher Committee and Viettel Group have unveiled VGC v1.0, a security chip integrating a domestically developed cryptographic algorithm directly into silicon, alongside the country's first domestically designed secure semiconductor platform. Delivering encryption and decryption speeds approximately 15 times faster than a software-only solution performing the same tasks, VGC v1.0 is the first chip developed on Vietnam's domestically designed secure semiconductor platform. The project addresses concerns over potential data exposure associated with reliance on imported chips.
