BANGKOK -- The role of artificial intelligence (AI) in healthcare is rapidly evolving from a futuristic concept to a present reality. At the recently concluded Siriraj x MIT Hacking Medicine 2026 conference, held in Bangkok under the theme "Agentic Healthcare: From Models to Trustworthy Medicine", global experts gathered to discuss not just the capability of medical AI, but its accountability. The five-day event began with a hackathon at Siriraj Hospital on Oct 16-18, where doctors, engineers, researchers and entrepreneurs worked on real clinical problems in cardiovascular disease and cancer. More than 1,100 people from 35 nationalities applied, and more than 200 were selected.
