Touch 'n Go eWallet offers MyCyberShield personal data protection service, RM9.99 for three months

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 27 -- In response to the government's call to battle against data breeches in Malaysia, TNG Digital and the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) are collaborating to bring a new data protection for Touch 'n Go eWallet (TNG) users called MyCyberShield. Launched by YB Fahmi Fadzil, Minister of Communications and Digital, the solution is part of TNG's #JagaDataKita campaign, which is aimed to provide urban and rural users alike with a secure digital lifestyle. According to Alan Ni, Chief Executive Officer of TNG Digital, the data of 22.5 million Malaysians including full name, ID and even home addresses, is being sold on the dark web.
