TH: Depositors' savings safe, core systems, services restored after cyberattack

KUALA LUMPUR: Lembaga Tabung Haji's (TH) key systems and services have resumed operations following a temporary suspension due to a cyberattack on Oct 8, with depositors' savings confirmed to be safe. In a statement Monday (Oct 12), TH announced that the reactivation of these key systems and services followed comprehensive security checks, the strengthening of controls, and system recovery measures. According to the statement, TH branches in Kedah, Terengganu, and Kelantan resumed operations on Sunday (Oct 11), while branches in other states opened as usual Monday; services provided through strategic banking partners have also been reactivated. "TH assures that depositors' savings are safe.
