As Grok Imagine pushes into AI-generated films with The Odyssey, Google is betting that interactive environments could give filmmakers and game developers a new way to create and experiment. Google DeepMind unveiled Genie 4 on Oct. 27, introducing an artificial intelligence model that generates interactive virtual environments with realistic visuals, sound and real-time responses to user instructions. Users can modify simulated scenes through natural-language prompts, including changing weather, moving the camera and introducing new characters or objects. The launch comes as AI-generated entertainment moves beyond short clips towards more ambitious creative projects.
