BSSN Spills Possible Inafis Data Breach

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The National Cyber and Encryption Agency (BSSN) revealed the possible data breach belonging to the police's Indonesia Automatic Fingerprint Identification System (Inafis), which was sold on the dark web. In response, the National Police would check and conduct mitigation measures to prevent a recurrence. "We will mitigate it, we will check it again because these are interesting issues at the moment," the National Police's Chief of the Public Relations Division, Inspector General Sandi Nugroho, said at the Police Headquarters in Jakarta, on Tuesday, June 25. Sandi said that measures must be taken to prevent data leaks from happening again in the future.
