Google rolls out free AI training for Pinoy teachers

Google Philippines has partnered with the Department of Education (DepEd), Commission on Higher Education (CHED), and Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) to offer free artificial intelligence training for Filipino educators. The Google AI Educator Series (GES) provides self-paced online modules that take 15 to 45 minutes to complete. The training covers the use of AI tools for classroom instruction, administrative tasks, research, and problem-solving activities. Participants can earn digital badges as they complete the modules, which include lessons on creating interactive learning experiences through simulations and real-world scenarios. One module introduces Gemini's Guided Learning feature, which uses Socratic-style guidance to help students work through complex problems.
