MANILA, Philippines -- One of the country's major telcos said it has generated P1.2 billion in measurable business benefits from its artificial intelligence (AI) initiatives. Globe Telecom said such benefits included additional revenue, cost savings, and productivity gains, as the company shifts its focus from AI adoption to measurable business results. The company said that as of August 2026, the benefits came from its generative AI (GenAI) and AI and machine learning (AI/ML) initiatives, translating to a 2.8 times return on its AI investments, based on the firm's initial enterprise measurement.
