Jakarta. Leading cellular operator Indosat on Tuesday criticized media reports linking its subsidiary, Lintasarta, to the recent breach of the national data center. A former Lintasarta employee is allegedly responsible for the data breach, but Indosat confirmed that the individual has not been employed by Lintasarta since 2021. "The media reports do not reflect the facts and could potentially create a misleading opinion among the public and our investors," Indosat said in a statement. The affected server is the temporary national data center number 2, while Indosat's subsidiary Lintasarta manages facility number 1, the company explained. "Linking the data breach to Indosat or Lintasarta is therefore baseless and inaccurate, and it could damage the company's reputation," the statement added. Tags:
