In a memo to staff, CEO Evan Spiegel said rapid advancements in AI are enabling teams to "reduce repetitive work and increase velocity," allowing smaller groups to deliver results across products like Snapchat+, advertising systems and infrastructure. The company also plans to shut more than 300 open roles, despite having around 5,261 employees as of December 2025.
