TikTok Says Committed to Indonesia's Social Media Ban for Under-16s

"TikTok is committed to complying with the regulation within the transitional period under PP Tunas, including taking appropriate measures related to under-16 accounts following the self-assessment process," read a statement from TikTok received on Saturday, March 28, 2026, as quoted from Antara. The platform, which focuses on vertical-format content, also stated that it will continue to consult intensively with the Ministry of Communication and Digital to ensure compliance with applicable regulations in Indonesia.
