In quantum mechanics, the famous double-slit experiment proved something that completely baffled physicists: the mere act of measurement fundamentally changes how a system behaves. If you do not measure a particle, it behaves as a wave of probabilities. The split-second you introduce a sensor to track it, that wave collapses. The system is forced into a single, definite state. The measurement itself physically alters the reality. Throughout my career designing and operating complex, large-scale networks, data centers, and cloud/AI environments, I have realized that this principle offers a perfect conceptual analogy for what is unfolding today in digital infrastructure.
