Digital Ministry drives digital transformation and literacy

GEORGE TOWN: The Digital Ministry held the handover ceremony for its Sekolah Angkat Madani (SAM) programme at SK Jalan Residensi, here. The ceremony was officiated by Personal Data Protection Department director-general Shariffah Rashidah Syed Othman, who represented the Digital Ministry secretary-general. SK Jalan Residensi received an allocation of RM100,000, which was used to improve and upgrade the school's infrastructure and facilities. The improvements included the installation and procurement of fixed and portable public address systems, air-conditioning units, ceiling fans, whiteboards and noticeboards. The allocation also covered the construction of zinc-roofed awnings for the art room and ablution area, as well as a tiled concrete sink to improve comfort and convenience for the entire school community.
