We are now exactly a month away from the release of Grand Theft Auto 6 on Nov. 19. We've seen the trailers, the gameplay, even the leaks, and now there's little to do but coast on hype until the game is actually out. However, once it is? GTA 6 and Rockstar will face something they never would have anticipated during development, or even a few months ago: AI. Or more specifically, the way the AI is rewriting video game production and what's relevant here: modification. The rise of "vibe coding" with AI systems like Claude has just slammed into the video game industry like a truck these past few months. The headline for the industry is how it's going to save a ton of coding time and busywork in game development.
