PHL set to host regional banking meeting on AI

THE PHILIPPINES will host the 54th ASEAN Banking Council Meeting next week, where banking leaders from the region will discuss artificial intelligence (AI) and its effects on the financial industry. The event, which will be hosted by the Bankers Association of the Philippines (BAP), will be held on Nov. 12-14 at Makati Shangri-La Manila with the theme "AI-Driven Banking in ASEAN: Securing Our Future Together." This will mark the third time the Philippines will host the ASEAN Banking Council Meeting, with previous gatherings held here in 2004 and 2014. The BAP is the lead organization of universal and commercial banks in the country.
