Microsoft Extends Office Support on Windows 10 to 2028

MICROSOFT has canceled its plan to end support for Office applications on Windows 10 by the end of 2025. The company has now announced that they will continue to provide security updates for the applications until 2028. This announcement comes after Microsoft stated in January that they would end support for Microsoft 365 Apps such as Word. At that time, users were advised to switch to Windows 11 in order to continue using the applications after October 14, 2025. "To keep you secure during the upgrade process to Windows 11, we will continue to provide security updates for Microsoft 365 on Windows 10 for three years after the end of Windows 10 support, which will end on October 10, 2028," Microsoft's statement in the updated support document quoted from Tech Republic.
