At the 2026 International Information Technology and Business Process Management (IT-BPM) Summit held last month, the Philippines' primary industry group for the IT and BPM sector gave its next generation of workers a name. The IT and Business Process Association of the Philippines (IBPAP) said the future belongs to the AI-enabled Digital Filipino Worker (DFW), essentially someone who can pair AI fluency and industry know-how with the very human traits of critical thinking, empathy, and leadership.
