Straits Interactive took home the AI - Education category win in the coveted SBR Technology Excellence Awards 2025 for its generative AI Capability-as-a-Service (CaaS) offering that constitutes AI-enhanced training, an AI-adaptive Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform, and expert-led advisory.
For its AI-enhanced training, Straits Interactive has partnered with different higher education institutions to offer over 30 generative AI-blended courses that enhance adult learning. Its courses utilise hands-on AI tools, enabling learners to experience and understand AI.
Meanwhile, its SaaS platform, Capabara, provides an easy-to-use suite of tools that allows trainers, consultants, entrepreneurs, and departments to create, deploy, govern, and manage their own generative AI chatbots and tools in a secure environment. Users can choose from multiple Large Language Models (LLMs) and interact with their custom datasets.
Recognising the importance of data privacy, AI governance, and responsible AI, the company has also partnered with professional certification bodies like OCEG and the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) to offer professional certifications in data privacy and AI governance. These partnerships have created an ecosystem to guide organisations in developing trustworthy applications and ensuring responsible AI practices.
The project has allowed Straits Interactive to extend regional leadership in data protection and governance to encompass generative AI and AI governance, transform the adult education market with generative AI capabilities, and enhance corporate development and digital transformation in workplace and learning environments.
