DPA – An IT Perspective

The training was very educational, the speakers were very clear on their
respective discussions. The case studies helped a lot in understanding more
about the topics. Data Privacy is very important and the new normal in
Information Processing. It is more important to apply also in IT systems which
are also vulnerable in Privacy Breaches.

The PIA form shared in the workshop would be useful in assessing processes in our work.
Trainers were lively in sharing important information on the subject and a ton of experience
to share. The training was straight to the point and concise.

It is like attending a face to face workshop. What I liked is the pragmatic approach
of the workshop. The speakers are very knowledgeable on the subject matter.
The materials presented are all relevant and important in putting into
perspective the role of IT. It was very good over all and very relevant especially to
my role in our organization as the head of ICT department.

It was very informative. I learned that in handling data privacy, you need to address
not only the technical aspect of the matter but as well as its physical and organizational aspects.

Overall I learnt a lot and I got my desired key areas of learning which I can use in
enhancing my work outputs and DPA journey. I am now able to further use the DPA
in IT matters specially in preparing our compliance documents for NPC. Edwin is very
knowledgeable on the Data Privacy area, I learnt a lot from him in a short span of time.
